Welcome to the Homer FFA page! The Homer FFA is an organization focused on premier leadership, personal growth and career success through Agricultural Education. We are currently participating in over 45 activities and events this year and have 85 FFA members in grades 7th through college. It is still open enrollment to join. To join, you simply must have an interest in Agriculture and Natural Resources and a desire to be a better person! It costs $15 per year for dues and parents must fill out an annual permission form. See Mrs. Finch in the Ag Room for more info. If you join FFA, you are not required to participate in every event, you can choose what you are interested in. Some of the activities we do each year include: -Fall: School Fair, Corn Maze, Chicken Broiler Contest, Soil Judging Contest, National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN, Fall Leadership Conference in Lansing, Bowling Party and more -Winter: Winter Rewards Trip, MFB Career Conference, Greenhand Initiation, Fruit/Nut/Calendar/Poinsettia Sale and more -Spring: Leadership Contests, volunteering at the Recycling Center, State FFA Convention in Lansing, annual Awards Banquet and more -Summer: Canoe Trip, Farmer's Market, Officer Training Camp, State SLCCO Conference, Fair Week, Point System Trip and more More FFA information is included under the "Documents" section of the Homer Schools website, including the FFA calendar, a parent letter and the annual permission form.
